I don't listen to much country music, so I don't really know where this one lands, but I find it has some pretty good tunes and definitively good musicianship. Some of the songs mights soound a bit cheesy, but I enjoy this album overall nonetheless. The tunes which are more sounding like ballads get my preference, such as Northern Babe, and North Country Blues. Thibaut Devigne

Very good album overall. There are a lot of layers and subtility to it. I'm pretty new to bluegrass and I like how they incorporate other genres. Only downside, the warehouse can't ship outside the US, still could get a cd with Amazon. nicolescadres

I haven't listened the album more than about 5 times,so no favorite tracks have come to be, but I tell everyone about Jungle Bird for some reason! So that might be my favorite. It's such a quirky and fun instrumental that really satisfies all my musician-brain-listening curiosities. So so good!
It also reminds me of my good friend and amazing tune-writer, engineer, flat picker, Bob Harris (NJ), who from his albums in the late 70's early 80's to now have really been in the same vein. mronstadt

I have listened to bluegrass and old-timey style banjo music for many years. Nora Brown has the most poetic interpretation of these styles that I have heard so far. She is the John Fahey of banjo (but also with striking vocals). brit_b
